The Cans Festival - thecansfestival.com - a meeting of international standard graff writers, who, armed with their stencils, took over Leake Street, London, underneath Waterloo train station.
This was a legal 'exhibition' of work.
The writers put together an absolutely stunning show of stencil work, from works that grabbed the space from floor to ceiling, to members of the public who were invited to take part with stencils only - no writing or tagging, or else.
The art work on the walls is still there but the engineered, structural stuff has gone.
To get there - Waterloo Station - take the exit towards the London Eye. Stand with your back to the London Eye, facing the station. The Slug and Lettuce bar is on your right. Access to Leake St is ahead of you on the right hand side.
Here's a brief look at what was there on Saturday 30 June 2008 - it's changing subtly all the time but the big pieces by your man Banksy are being left well alone!
We'd love to attribute these to the respective writers and are looking for a borrow of the 'catalogue' for the show - any ideas???

crick your neck to the right for this next one!!
