We were commissioned by Kent Highway Services to produce a piece as part of the Turner and Dickens Walk, which runs between Margate Harbour and Broadstairs. The Walk celebrates the relationship between Charles Dickens and JMW Turner with the local area.
We aimed to produce a colourful, friendly, clean mural that is pleasant to see and is in an art form that is accessible to all, produced by spray cans.
The piece depicts a Turner style background, with Dickens style characters featured, alongside buildings and landmarks along the route.
We were delighted to work in partnership with Kent Highway Services (part of Kent County Council), Network Rail and Thanet Community Safety Partnership (part of Thanet District Council).
