We were commissioned by Kent Highway Services to produce a piece as part of the Turner and Dickens Walk, which runs between Margate Harbour and Broadstairs.  The Walk celebrates the relationship between Charles Dickens and JMW Turner with the local area.   We aimed to produce a colourful, friendly, clean mural that is pleasant to see and is in an art form that is accessible to all, produced by spray cans.   The piece depicts a Turner style background, with Dickens style characters featured, alongside buildings and landmarks along the route.   We were delighted to work in partnership with Kent Highway Services (part of Kent County Council), Network Rail and Thanet Community Safety Partnership (part of Thanet District Council).   Take a look at the 'before' shots:                                       And after the makeover, which took two full days and two half days:       Barnaby Rudge and the Theatre Royal, Margate Fagin and a representative building from Viking Bay/Broadstairs Harbour Drapers Mill windmill and St Johns Church, Margate Crampton Tower and Bleak House Fagin, and the logos for Network Rail and Street Art Studio       Dickens House Museum Mr Pickwick, Oliver Twist and the Old Curiosity Shop The Turner Contemporary Gallery All pictures copyrighted to Kent Highways and shown with kind permission
